Alethia Louise Anderson was the only child born to Mary Anderson on November 27, 1927 in Danville, VA. Alethia moved to Brooklyn, NY at an early age and was raised by her Aunt Nannie and Uncle Melvin Anderson. She attended and graduated from Girls High School in Brooklyn New York.
In 1949 Alethia married Robert J. Wheeler and from that union they had three daughters Linda, Laura and Jackie. Alethia later went on to have five more children Jeanine, Nancy, Bruce, Rodney and Venus Renee (deceased) as a strong independent woman.
Alethia's children blessed her with 16 grandchildren, Tiffany, Marvin, Shawna, Shariff, Harold, Shayvon, Tamiiko, Suri (deceased) Tina, Kaim, Khassim, Shumi, Latoya, Rodney, Racquel, Danny. She had 26 great grandchildren Nikita, Alannah, Cheyanne, Jayden, Shakeva, Keisha-Shanita, Raymond, Izayah, Jayden, Jordan, Jayla, Elijah, Saliem, Aikido, Kyairaa, Essence, Kuturi, Kristian, Suriyah, Aaliyah,Tamia, Chaz, Tyra, Tiana, Amber, Isis, and one great-great grandchild Preston.
Alethia loved the life she lived and lived the life she loved. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She would always say "Thank you for loving me."
